At Noseydogs Dog Training on the Gold Coast, we provide personalised dog training programs to help dogs and their owners succeed. Our experienced dog trainer works with everything from puppies learning basic obedience, to adult dogs with serious behavioural issues. At Noseydogs we believe that every dog is unique and requires individualised dog training approaches. Our methods focus on a dog's natural curiosity and drive. Thus, building a strong bond between the dog and owner. By understanding a dog's natural instincts and drives, we create tailored dog training plans that address specific behavioural issues and promote desired behaviours. This allows the owners to become their own dog trainers
Origin Story
Our founder's passion for dogs has been shaped over the past seven years through countless experiences working with them. During this time, he has had the privilege of training his team of border collies and competing with them in sheepdog trials, forming a remarkable bond with these intelligent and loyal animals.
Beyond working with his own dogs, he has also dedicated significant time to working at an animal rescue shelter, where he interacted with numerous homeless dogs. His responsibilities included performing behaviour assessments and offering training to help dogs overcome challenges and prepare for their forever homes.
Through his time at the shelter, he saw firsthand the reasons why many dogs were surrendered. It became clear that a lack of education and understanding about proper canine care and training was a major contributor to behavioural issues, which often could have been prevented or resolved with the right guidance.
This experience ignited a strong passion in him to educate others about responsible dog ownership. He believes that by spreading knowledge and awareness, we can reduce the number of dogs in shelters and ensure they lead happy, fulfilling lives.
Services
Puppy Pre School 8 - 16 weeks 5 week course
Our Puppy Pre School program is designed to provide early socialisation and essential training during the crucial developmental stages of your puppy.
Over the first 5 weeks, some of what you and your puppy will learn:
- Core skills
- Basic commands
- Manners
- How to be handled
- How to interact with other dogs and people
- About tick, fleas, worms, dietary and exerequirements
We recommend completing the following 5 weeks at Puppy Secondary School to ensure best results from this course.
Puppy Secondary School 17 - 24 weeks 5 week course
Our Puppy Secondary School is designed for those wanting to advance on their skills learnt at Puppy Pre School and for those who missed out on the age bracket.
This course focuses on:
- Refining skills learnt at Puppy Pre School
- Addressing challenges
- Impulse control
- Eliminating reactive behaviour
- Handling your pup
- Socialising/Exposure to real world scenarios
- Play in a unique
To maximise your pup's potential, we suggest completing both the Pre School and Secondary School programs
Group Training
Group training is available for dogs over 24 weeks of age who have completed Puppy Pre School or Puppy Secondary School and wish to continue on their training journey to ensure future success. New dogs are welcome, however if significant behaviour modification is needed, a private training session will be required first. Training sessions are an hour long and run weekly
Private Dog Training
During our private consult, we will take a deep dive into understanding your dog's behaviour. Thus allowing us to create personalised and tailored plans that suit you and your dog.
We will provide you with training techniques and strategies, empowering you to continue your training journey with confidence.
Follow up consult
Our follow up consults are to ensure that you are making progress and achieving your training goals.
During these sessions, we check in and assess the progress made and address any challenges or concerns that may have arisen.
We understand that training needs can evolve, so we will adapt and modify the training plan as necessary to ensure continued success.
